Multiplier Event Romania
The Multiplier Event hosted by the "Edmond Nicolau" Technical College in Focșani, Romania, served as a comprehensive two-day forum for exploring the integration of digital education and active pedagogy.
The program began with a deep dive into the Dig4AEdu project’s intellectual outputs, specifically focusing on methodologies for incorporating active learning into STEM disciplines. Participants, including teachers, school principals, and local partners, were introduced to open educational STEAM resources that utilize both digital tools and low-cost materials. A significant highlight of the first day was a hands-on "Micro:bit for Beginners" workshop, which provided attendees with practical experience using the project's pedagogical tools.
The second day shifted the focus toward practical application with a dedicated emphasis on Arduino and STEAM perspectives. This session featured collaborative workshops where teams applied these technologies to solve educational challenges, moving from theory to real-world demonstration. Students and teachers worked alongside external guests to showcase projects developed throughout the project's lifecycle, fostering a dialogue on the tangible impact of these digital tools in the classroom. The event concluded with a reflective evaluation and a certificate ceremony, marking a successful exchange of innovative teaching practices and student-led creativity.
