16/03/2024

The “Innovation in Mathematics and Science Education 2024 (IEMC 2024)” meeting focuses on innovation in the education of mathematics and sciences, stemming from collaborative interdisciplinary practices, the use of digital technologies, exploration of innovative educational environments, and different contexts associated with the comprehensive formation of students, such as education for sustainable development. The event also promotes reflection on the future of teacher training in mathematics and sciences.

IEMC 2024 aims to be a space for sharing and discussing practices, projects, and research on pedagogical innovation in mathematics and science education. The objectives include disseminating innovative practices, educational resources, and projects, both national and international, across different education levels and teaching modes (in-person or distance). It also promotes critical reflection on interdisciplinary educational approaches in initial and ongoing teacher training, supports reflection on curricular flexibility, collaboration, and pedagogical innovation, and helps understand the potential of innovative educational environments in teaching mathematics and sciences. Furthermore, it addresses the implications of artificial intelligence in these fields.

The conference features diverse activities, including plenary sessions, practical sessions, and communication symposia, with both in-person and remote participation. It targets undergraduate and master’s students, educators, teachers, teacher trainers, and other professionals interested in this theme.
