The 14th International Conference on Research, Practices and Contexts in Education (IPCE) is an international event that aims to contribute to the advancement of theory and practice in Education. The IPCE conference is part of the activities of ESECS – Polytechnic of Leiria and seeks to promote collaboration among researchers, teachers, students, and decision-makers in identifying and discussing challenges and solutions for diverse educational contexts. The purpose of the IPCE conference is to provide an opportunity for professionals from various fields related to Education and with multidisciplinary interests to interact and share experiences and knowledge, stimulating research and the development of educational practices. The IPCE conference is accredited by the Scientific-Pedagogical Council for Continuing Education as a 13-hour training course, for career progression of Preschool Educators and Primary and Secondary School Teachers.
Students Beatriz Vieira, Gustavo Quintas, and Íris Rodrigues and Rafael Cunha accompanied by teachers Carla Malafaya and Natércia Moreira, presented the project “HeatSync” at this conference. The project represents an innovative continuation of the work developed during their mobility to Istanbul, under the Erasmus+ Dig4AEdu programme. The students’ contribution went beyond a standard presentation: it showcased scientific curiosity, critical awareness, and a strong commitment to the intersection between education and technology.
